Miscellanea

Welcome to the fictional world of Miscellanea! Miscellanea is different from our world on Earth. This world--or rather, universe, contains EVERY fictional piece of media. Shows, anime, webcomics, movies, you name it! If a celebrity has played themselves in a movie, that version of themselves is in it! If they have appeared in a comic, such as 8 Beat Gag, those musicians are in it! So, what media does the fictional characters consume? The shows in their shows. The music they listen to is either real(if the musicians are in the world) or fictional bands, such as Bandori bands' music, Gorillaz, Dethklok, and Spinal Tap!Miscellanea is the name of both the universe and the world where most characters inhabit. It is their Earth. If a character is from another planet, they are still from another planet but their universe is Miscellanea.The capital of the world is Mediapolis. This is the largest city where millions of characters live. There is one school. In this school is where our heroes attend.The stories mainly focuses on Rosetta "Rose" Williams and her friends living in Mediapolis and going on adventures. Other stories are based around her little sister Cordelia "Cory" Williams and her friends. Rose and Cory make new friends, learn lessons in friendship, help their friends' problems, and learn to love themselves and change for the better. Each story focuses on character(s) and develops their character growth.Meet some of the characters!
Darlene Watterson - Also a main character in Ghost School, though that is a separate universe. In Miscellanea, her personality is mostly the same, but Darlene is extremely intelligent and powerful. She provides knowledge and insight about Miscellanea history and logic. She works for the City Council, which is basically the government. Since she works for the government she was granted with a shit ton of knowledge and made extremely powerful when she was only 10. Because of this, she is secretly depressed and mentally disturbed. She doesn't act off right now in the books, but I will be writing a story for her.
Margot "Mars" Carson - A reserved, pessimistic, insecure, intelligent girl who befriends Rose over a shared hatred of gym class. Margot is similar to Rose, but Margot is more depressive, blunt, and not ditzy. At first, Margot and Kurumi do not get along, but they become friends and are mostly seen with each other.
Kurumi "Milk" Mimino (Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!) - A fuzzy magical bunny who goes to school as a human girl, and also has the power to transform into a badass magical girl. Once her non-Cure friends find out about her power, she is called Milk, but she doesn't like it. Kurumi doesn't get to see her Cure friends a lot. In the first year, the only ones in middle school like her are Urara and Shiro, but they are dating, so they never hang out with Kurumi. She had a hard time making new friends at first, but she was welcomed into the group and now mostly hangs out with Margot and Rose.
Amanda "Mandy" Delisle (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy) - Mandy is best friends with Gaz and the two are inseparable. But after Gaz starts hanging out with Cory more often, Mandy starts hanging out with Rose, and she makes more friends in the future.
Gaz Membrane (Invader Zim) - Gaz takes interest in Cory, but they don't become friends until later on. Once they do, they are close. Gaz is also lifelong best friends with Mandy.
Bubbles Utonium (The PowerPuff Girls) - Bubbles, Darla, and Tanis have been best friends since Darla first enrolled into Mediapolis school. Bubbles often hangs out with Robyn, Darla, or Tanis.
Robyn Starling (Tom & Jerry: The Movie) - Robyn was the one to show Rose and Cory around the school. After that, she was automatically their friend. Robyn is smart, kind, and respectful and enjoys theatre and the arts. She is friends with Cory more than Rose, but she also hangs out with Darla, Bubbles and Tanis since she doesn't get along with Gaz, Mandy, or Buttercup that well. She is also friends with Ester Starfish and Betty Ann Bongo.
Darleen "Darla" Temple (Cats Don't Dance) - Darla is the youngest Temple sister. After being exposed for the selfish brat she is, Darla was sent home to Mediapolis to live with her mother and sisters. When Darla enrolled into Mediapolis School, she started to make new friends and change for the better. She is still extremely popular and rich. Darla is on the dance team, in theater, and wants to help others in volunteer work. She is learning to be kinder. Her ultimate best friend is Tanis, but she is also good friends with Rose, Bubbles and Robyn.
Mary "Baby Doll" Temple (Batman) - Mary is the oldest Temple sister. After the Batman incident happened when she was ten years old, she was sent to juvenile detention. She was released when she was 15 and lived with her family in Mediapolis. During her time in juvy, she became withdrawn and passive. Mary is mostly introverted now but she still has a talent for acting. She can also sing, dance, and paint. She is best friends with Margot's older sister Dahlia Carson.
Muffet Temple (Christmas in Tattertown) - Muffet is the middle Temple child, but she is technically the oldest. She was a doll their mother Shirley had when she was very little. Shirley eventually gave the doll away and Muffet ended up at Debbie's orphanage. When the two got out of Tattertown, she was donated to an antique shop. 6 years later, Shirley found her in the shop and bought her, and love brought her to life. Muffet is still energetic, confident, tough, and has a sharp tongue, but she no longer holds hatred for people. Even Debbie.
Tanis Mummy (Scooby Doo at the Ghoul School) - Tanis is very sweet, shy, and a little naive. She is very insecure of her true form and is confused as to why she was born undead and not human like most kids. So, Tanis wears a realistic human disguise and goes by the name Tanya. She is able to transform in and out of the disguise easily. Tanis is best friends with Darla and she is slowly gaining her confidence and is learning to love who she is.The series doesn't have many stories now, but the lore is always being worked on. I have a private 7 page document of the lore with at least 20 future stories planned. Ghost School

Somewhere on the edge of Earth, between Heaven and Hell, there is the realm for Ghosts. In that world, there is the capital city, Ghostville, and in that city, there is the largest school for ghosts ever. It is Ghost School! All sorts of ghouls and ghosts attend. Some are children that have died, some are born ghosts, some are even human that have discovered how to access the ghost realm! Our story follows two half ghosts: Carmen and Darlene Watterson. The two of them go on tons of adventures every school year and make new friends and enemies. Darlene is a supporting character in the Miscellanea Universe, and occasionally her sister and friends show up too.Carmen and Darlene are the daughters of Carrie Krueger and Darwin Watterson. That's why they're half ghosts. Each sister has different unique abilities. Carmen possesses telekinesis and Darlene can breathe underwater. The two are still discovering their powers since they are only half ghosts. Neither of them can fly very much because of this. Darlene also appears as a human like her father, so many assume she is human at first.Some characters besides the twins are: Beth, Annabelle, Ash, Mae, Scar, Nina, Korl, Milly, and Carletta. They also meet many others characters from different franchises.Some enemies they face are the Insanity/Grimdark ponies, the PowerPunk Girls, the Other Mother, and others. The Carsons

Back in 2018, I decided I wanted to make my own version of The Loud House with my own unique characters. So I made The Carson family. The parents are named Julie and Ryan. The children are Rosemary, Cordelia, Dahlia, Jeffrey, Jason, Lilac, Margot, Phoenix, Malachi, Shadow, Seymour, Harley, and Cynthia. They don't have ages because they age in real time, so they are always getting older. I do have male kins, these are just the female ones only.Yayoi Kise (Pretty Cure) - My first exposure to Pretty Cure was Glitter Force, and I always found Lily/Yayoi to be cute. She is shy, sensitive, and a geek like me. She kind of reminds me of Bubbles Utonium, who I related to a lot when I was little(I still do, I just haven't seen the show in years).Kira Aso (Mars) - At first, I didn't enjoy this series very much, but as I read further, I found Kira to be a complex and relatable character. She is a passionate artist, is shy, sensitive, dislikes male classmates at school, a little judgmental and assumes at first(at one point she reveals she would "kill" people with her mind if she found them annoying or if they hurt her), is awkward, a deep thinker, has a troubled relationship with her parents. I also look like her(we have the same hairstyle), so as I am reading this series, I'm like, "oh my god that is so me".Daiya Higashikata (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) - Daiya isn't the most well known character in JoJolion, and she seems to be mostly remembered for having a crush on Josuke(who is her distant relative/adopted brother), but she is more than that. She LOVES progressive rock and gets excited when talking about it, and she is girly, childish and naive but actually very perceptive and intelligent. She is super cute too.Osaka Kasuga (Azumanga Daioh) - I have seen this character on the internet for years and I knew it was a popular joke to call her autistic for some reason, but I didn't know why until I finally watched the show. She is spacey, day dreams a lot, speaks slow, has sensory issues, hates gym/running, speaks oddly(I tend to mix up my words, emphasize the wrong words or say the incorrect phrase), is naive/childlike, and has many crazy ideas. Another thing I have in common with Osaka is that we can be school smart(as in problem solving, patterns) but still seem like an airhead in many things. For example the scene where Osaka can't use the broom and dust pan. It's a developmental thing. I also look like her in hair and body shape(though my hair is longer than hers now). After watching the show, I thought she was VERY autistic coded and she was VERY relatable. If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm autistic and my special interest is progressive rock.Marie Charcelet (Marie The Doll) - I feel like I'm slowly stealing her personality tbh. She is sweet, kind of shy, childlike, naive, girly, loves doll-like and cute things, gets to live in a pretty mansion, wears lolita dresses, gets treated like a princess(for a while). She's living the dream life(at first).Marie 1 (Daisies) - I don't know why, maybe this is more of a personal headcanon/wanting her to be like me, but as I watched this movie, I found Marie 2 to be more extroverted and feisty than Marie 1. To me, Marie 1 is a tiny bit more like the one who follows Marie 2's antics, but Marie 1 comes up with some wacky and smart ideas as well, and also likes to call out her friend's stupidity. She also seems to be the deep thinker out of the two. She's the one who claims they have no proof of existence and that they are young and life is long. That's who I am. I love this character, she's so silly and dumb lmao. They both are, I just like her more. She seems more innocent.Celine (Celine and Julie Go Boating) - I am unable to explain why I relate to her. I would have to rewatch the movie. I think it's mainly because I have similar hair to her, but also she is the more erratic one. Why is she running around wearing weird clothes? Why is her job a magician? Why is she destroying books at the library? She's like my spirit animal, lol. She does what I really want to do but can't, I end up being Julie the librarian who cleans up her mess.Moca Aoba (Bandori) - Oh, look, another autistic coded(IMO) anime girl. She appears spacey at first as she is always sleepy, speaks slowly and in a monotone voice, and brings up unrelated topics to the conversation, but is really very intelligent, perceptive, and self aware.Rinko Shirokane (Bandori) - Rinko is literally the chronically online one who is almost silent in real life but extremely loud online and probably knowledgeable in internet lore. She probably spends hours on Discord. She is very shy, socially awkward, sensitive, and mainly only speaks when she provides advice or is comfortable enough. She is also very passionate about her interests.Maud Pie (My Little Pony) - I heavily relate to both Maud and Pinkie(I should probably add her at some point). These two are opposites but they are both two sides of me. Two sides of a spectrum- okay I'll stop now. Yes I think both are autistic but I'm going to focus on Maud. She is introverted, an expert, speaks in a slow monotone voice, and she is very loyal to her loved ones. I feel like I'm more of Maud than Pinkie, since I'm more of an introvert and know-it-all. Ever since I first saw Maud when I was like 9 or something I loved her and she felt relatable. She reminded me of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory, who was my favorite character(and also autistic- but you didn't know you were until you were 13)j

Best Album By An Artist

If you had to pick the best album by a musician or band, what would it be? It's time for some controversial and badly supported musical opinions. Of course, you should expect most of this to be progressive rock. Note that this will NEVER BE FINISHED.PINK FLOYD - The Dark Side of the Moon - Not only is this my favorite Pink Floyd album, it is my favorite album EVER, and I believe it is the best of all time. Here is why: It is accessible, relatable, has an iconic symbol, it's experimental without being unlistenable, and it's consistent. It's hard to choose a favorite song because most, if not all, are equally good. Almost everyone in the U.S. or U.K. has heard of this album's existence. It contains lyrics relatable to an adult(tying into that nostalgia and melancholy that everyone loves), is artsy and unique while retaining rock n roll roots(old people also love this) and it is TIMELESS. The album is hard to dislike for one specific reason. Someone who hasn't listened to a lot of similar music may not like it because they think it's too strange. Music nerds may not like it because it's not strange enough. You cannot pin down anything specifically bad about it.YES - Close to the Edge - This album is literal perfection minus like 1 or 2 points. The title track song is my favorite song ever and it's the best song ever made. You cannot change my mind on that. The other two songs are not as great, but the album is still a 10/10 because of the title track. Also, the album art on the cover and on the inside is godly. You don't know what to expect.FRANK ZAPPA & THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION - Uncle Meat - I still need to listen to hundreds of Frank Zappa's albums, but this one is my favorite so far. It is very silly and fun. I guess I just really like the avant-prog style, the short but chaotic and complex songs, the xylophone or whatever that is, and the harpsichord.EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER - Trilogy - I'm just going to copy and paste my RYM review. "ELP's best album--there is no cheesy "funny" filler, no super exhausting 10+ min epics, and since the band didn't mind not being able to perform the songs live, there are so many crazy and fun keyboards, especially on Trilogy and Abbadon's Bolero." So yes, I love this album very much. I love everything about this band's sound. Their so unique, fun, creative, and the members are all hot.THE BEACH BOYS - Pet Sounds - Blah blah blah perfect album blah blah AOTY RYM blah blah blah influential blah blah i fucking love brian wilson blah blah you know. I can't even explain why this album is so good. These are just perfect, accessible, artsy, relatable pop songs. H o w does someone dislike every song on here?TODD RUNDGREN & UTOPIA - Todd Rundgren's Utopia - I had no idea what I was getting into when I first heard this. It was spacey, geometric, colorful, candy, eyepopping, orgasmic, it was giving trippy colorful early CGI. And so I made The Ikon music video using that exact kind of footage. This album has my heart. I squealed out loud when I saw it at a record show. Sure it had weird brown stains on the cover but IDGAF. It boggles my mind that a group of human beings made this.GENESIS - Selling England by the Pound - Refined prog rock. Has goth twink Peter and his OC costumes of course. Listen to this album if you are new to progressive rock.HENRY COW - Legend - Whoever said this band had an "autistic sock motif" fuck you I know you meant that as an insult but you made me realize that this band is autism music. It scratches my brain. I LOVE this band they are so silly. And this is their best album. I'm not a big fan of the more experimental, noisy albums that come later on. This one is perfect. PERFECTTTTT. Also there is this Reese's Peanut Butter commercial that goes "the chicken or the egg..." PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THE GUITAR IN THE BACKGROUND SOUNDS LIKE FRED FRITH.CAN - Monster Movie - If you were mad at me before, you are going to be mad now. I don't like Damo's voice. I like Malcolm's. I really like Malcolm's voice. I LOVE the guitar the most and love d o o r i g h t y o u d o o r i g h tROXY MUSIC - For Your Pleasure - This is SO GOOD. Artsy, not outlandish experimental noises, good pop and rock tunes. The title track, also the finale, is magnificent. The way the song just fades into those wonky pianos. Thank you, Eno, very cool.

~ Girls Only! Media ~

I would describe myself as a girly girl. I have always loved franchises with an all female cast, with little-to-no male characters, with stories that focus on the girls' relationships and friendship, with fun, pretty and relatable characters, and maybe even cute merchandise. These sorts of franchises are commonly in the magical girl or idol genre. As I have gotten older, I have started to enjoy other genres such as yuri or drama anime with an all female cast. My first introduction to a girly show. I've been into MLP since before I gained self awareness. The show has cute, lovable and relatable characters, we delve into their personalities and relationships, they make tons of new friends, and they also fight enemies along the way. I love how expansive the lore is. This show was my first special interest/fandom, lasting maybe around 4 years? My ultimate favorite character has ALWAYS been Pinkie Pie. My other favorite is Cozy Glow. Recently I've really started to like Trixie and Starlight(yes I ship them). Also the Dazzlings rock. I love how MLP:EG technically counts as part of the magical girl genre.Sailor Moon
I was never a Sailor Moon girl. Why did I not like it? I have never liked their costumes, none of the characters appealed to me when I watched the show, and I really don't like Usagi. THIS IS SUCH A GODLY GAME. I've played it twice now, but I have loved it since 2018. When I played the game for the first time, I already knew all the deaths so I wasn't scared by those, but every time you play the game, it glitches differently, so I do get surprises each time I play the game. First of all, fuck Monika, she's annoying af. Natsuki is cute and alright. But I can't decide if I like Yuri or Sayori more! It depends on my mood. I'm playful and have mood swings like Sayori, but I'm introverted and feel things deeply like Yuri.Bandori
I only started playing this game July of 2023, but I fell in love with it! The characters are so nice and cute! There are so many of them yet they are all unique, I love it! They learn lessons in friendship while becoming better musicians! The game itself, the rhythm part is okay. I really like the characters and story more. I mostly play the stories. I love Poppin'Party the most, both characters and music wise. My favorite characters are Rinko and Arisa, and I also like Ako, Hagumi and Moca.Pretty Cure
I LOOOOVE this franchise. Cute, amazing, relatable characters that beat the shit out of villains, cool songs, CROSSOVER movies, TONS of new friends, lessons in friendship, lore, SOOO MANY CHARACTERS. I LOVE THEM. And I have only seen about half of the series! My favorite season is Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo because I love the rainbow colors and how it has lots of cute characters. I love Nagisa&Honoka, they are iconic. I love Urara, Komachi, and KURUMIIII. I LOVE MILK! She's such a badass! And I love how she pokes fun at Nozomi when she is being annoying. GODDDD this is such a good and depressing show. Not as good as The Rose of Versailles but this anime has me on the verge of tears at some points so far(I've finished the manga but not the anime). This show has everything. Trauma, friendships, lesbians, drugs, school, bullying, sororities, yanderes, androgynous girls that I thought were boys, and so much more. Each character is unique and the anime dives deep into their personalities much more than the manga. Not one character is the most relatable to me, because I relate to all in some way. As I read the manga, I felt like I was thrown into the story and I was Nanako. I was so invested! I really love this show, so I want to talk about it. There's Nanako, the protagonist, who is sweet, shy, bullied, insecure and has some family issues. There's Tomoko, Nanako's childhood friend who doesn't get a lot of development in the manga but justice is served for her in the anime. There is Mariko, a lonely girl who is at first a yandere for Nanako but then she calms down. She struggles with her looks and even had an eating disorder at one point. There's Rei, a mysterious girl with a fried brain due to drugs, Nanako is in love with her, and also Rei has an obsession with her older sister Fukiko. Fukiko is the most popular girl. She is very posh, snobby, and manipulative. Then there is Kaoru, the humble athlete who takes care of Rei while also struggling with an illness of her own, and Mariko had a crush on her at one point.Azumanga Daioh
THIS SHOW IS SO CUTE. I love everything about it! It's kind of odd because there is no leader to the group. Most of the characters get equal screen time and development. There's Chiyo, the child genius who is a very good and pure person but dies every episode, and let's be honest, she probably has anxiety, PTSD from Yukari's driving, and is losing her sanity. There's Yomi, the other intelligent one but she's more blunt and isn't afraid to call someone stupid, and she also has body dysmorphia. There's Tomo, the pretty dumb girl with ADHD that screws everyone over. There's Sakaki, the tall girl with autism that freaks out over cute animals and is also super athletic. There's Osaka, the other autistic one who is pretty fucking stupid and triggers cuteness aggression. There's Kagura, the super athletic one who's hardworking and a little more sane than the others. And then there's Kaorin, the most outwardly gay one who is a nervous wreck, gets beat up a lot by the show's writers, and is rightfully terrified of Kimura(why do they have to torture her so much!?)

Duncan x Courtney (Total Drama) - This is my favorite couple from the show as I am a fan of opposites attract but also Courtney is my favorite character and I thought she was good with Duncan.Zim x Tak (Invader Zim) - This is my only ship in this show. Yes, I am kinda a fan of enemies to lovers. I think they would be adorable together. Tak and her idiot bf lmao.Billy x Mandy (The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy) - I love these two! I don't care what anyone says, Sheldon was a stalker who mainly loved Jenny for the fact that she was a robot girl. Brad was genuine, sweet, and never thought of Jenny in creepy ways. Bubbles was my favorite girl and Boomer was my favorite boy, so obviously I like them together. They are so wholesome and sweet!Andre x Oscar (The Rose of Versailles) - I love them. I have liked this ship for years, but I have never written about it. If you are somehow a lifelong supporter, then you may remember an ancient fanfic of Darla x Monty that is now eradicated. The fanfic will be interpolated in the Miscellanea universe. And some of you may be wondering, what about Elmyra Duff? Isn't she head over heels for Monty? I DO think that is a cute ship, and I may also add Monty/Elmyra in Miscellanea, but I'm gonna introduce another one.Wakko x Elmyra (Animaniacs x Tiny Toons) - We all know Elmyra loves animals. I think these two would be cute together.Yakko x Luan (Animaniacs x The Loud House) - Two pranksters that like to break the fourth wall. Wouldn't they be an unstoppable team?Mikey x Pinkie (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) - You know those TMNT x MLP and occasionally x Sonic crossovers on YouTube that are like slideshow stories? Yeah that's how I found this ship. And I love it. They're so fun together! I kind of like them more than Cheese Sandwich x Pinkie Pie.Andy x Halleen (Raggedy Ann & Andy x Ghost School) - Here is a canon x OC pairing. Halleen is an independent, introverted girl who loves day dreaming, writing, plants, and bohemian fashion. I'm shipping her with Andy (specifically the one from A Musical Adventure). They would be adorable!

Dan x Rose - NOT my main OC Rose from Miscellanea. I just really like that name. Dan and Rose met in their freshman year of high school and are together until they die. They form a band together with their friends in the 70s. Dan is the guitarist and singer and Rose is the keyboardist. Rose is passive and Dan is very chill but worries about her.David x Brook - They are also in the band. David is the bassist, temporary guitarist, and sings while Brooklyn is the temporary bassist, violinist and background singer. She wasn't in the band for very long. They started dating in the 8th grade and have been together ever since, although it wasn't as smooth sailing as Dan and Rose. Brook is extremely possessive, high maintenance, and even abusive while David is prone to cheat.Eric x Tamia - They are also in the band. Eric is the drummer, while Tamia was only in the band for a very short period of time as percussionist, singer, and dancer. They met in freshman year of high school with the others but didn't start dating until senior year of high school. It was rocky ever since. They are on and off all the time. Tamia is very distant and unaffectionate(due to her undiagnosed autism) which upsets Eric, so he goes and cheats a lot. Tammy really does love him, though. She just doesn't know how to show it. Eric also has a drinking problem that pushes Tammy further away.Scarlina x Spikella - Ghoul best friends. They have always been best friends ever since they first met. Spikella knew she herself was a lesbian, but Scarlina didn't realize her own sexuality until later on. Scarlina is usually calm and composed. She is very proper, has good manners, and always dresses in large fancy dresses. On the other hand, Spikella is an anarchist punk that has anger issues and several mental disorders. Scarlina has to calm her down a lot. But Scarlina can very rarely get extremely mad.
